The current way of drawing the AVWAP is set to use just the one colour, being a dark green. You can select any colour you like in the settings however it remains as a dark green.
When there are multiple AVWAP lines being drawn on the chart it become rather messy having them all the same colour.
Can the AVWAP be amended to (1) show different colours and (2) have some sort of permanently visible indicator eg a small circle matching the colour to enable the user to see exactly where the drawing starts.

I assume you're referring to the AVWAP Bands indicator, yes? If so, you are already able to change the color of each line in the indicator properties. You just have to select each line that you want to change. Then you can save those changes to make them permanent.

No, I do not use the bands. I am referring to the actual AVWAP.
The option is there to change the colour but it does not stick. It remains a dark green.

I see. If you open the parameters for the actual AVWAP indicator, as with every indicator, you may change the color & line styles. This will only affect the existing indicator. If you want to use a different color & line styles as the default for when you add this indicator, you have to click this Save Settings button first to save the changes to the defaults.

If I'm still misunderstanding you, please provide a screenshot.

Hi Barry,

Sorry, I should have made myself clearer. I am referring to the AVWAP Drawing Tool, not the indicator.
The colours for the drawing tool can all be changed ONLY IF the deviations are used.
If the deviations are not used (set to 0), then the actual AVWAP line defaults to a dark green without the ability to change the colour.
I do not use the deviations and the chart gets messy very quickly if I have drawn a number of AVWAPs all the same colour.
It is that particular line that I would like to have the ability to change the colour to whatever I like.

I see now, thanks. If you set that parameter to zero, it overlaps all 3 lines & the green one for some reason takes precedence over the center line, & only the center can be changed. That should be easy to fix. I'll put in a request.

When we created it, we did have some trouble it with selecting the tool, but we made it where that drawing tool can be selected anywhere vertically on the starting bar. Hopefully that helps. So here, you can select the tool anywhere above/below the bar.

Thanks Barry,

My request for a permanently visible point of origin is to enable to easily see where the AVWAP is drawn from, especially if the starting point has similar price bars around it. I continually find myself clicking on a bar where I think it is, only to have to click again to remove the crosshairs from the chart, then click again at another point etc until I find the actual starting point. No problem when I start on an obvious bar but difficult to find amongst similar bars.

Hi Barry,

Is there an update on this? I was hoping it would be fixed with OT2024 but no such luck.

Hi Barry,

Is this likely to be fixed in OT2025?
Having all of the different AVWAP anchors all the same color is really confusing on the chart.
