Hi everyone,

We build our strategies using Strategy Wizard with a fixed risk allocation method. We have used AutoTrade and are now back to OmniPilot in testing, trading futures 24/5 on a 15-minute timeframe.

The question I have is: does OmniTrader support the use of trading futures or forex with an allocation method? So far, everything we try fails. I recall seeing in one of the OmniTrader upgrade sales brochures that allocation is now supported, but I can't remember which one.

Is anyone else successfully using allocation methods to trade either Forex or futures? Or can Nirvana Systems provide some input on this issue?

Regards,
Frank Birch

Hi Frank

I'm guessing the Sales Brochure you might have seen, mentioning use of 'allocation methods', would likely be related to one of the ATM (Adaptive Trade Management) releases.

There was a ATM Master seminar back in the second half of 2018, I think it was number 4 that referenced "Allocation Method". It mentioned 3 types of allocations, scaling, fixed and hybrid. It also discussed Long/Short ratios and Max Longs and Max Shorts.

Hopefully Nirvana will provide some guidance.

Cheers Etherist :-)
