All the news listed in the chart newstab for all stocks is one month or more old. Current information is available on the Yahoo site.

The news tab needs serious updating.
When possible, please add checkbox configuration options that include but are not limited to:
Show news for currently charted symbol.
Show news for all symbols currently in trade.
Show news for all symbols with green/red triangles.
Show news for all symbols in focus list.
Also, each of these should have option for email or popup alerts with a news item hits for one of the selected symbol subsets.
If one or more of them are checked, do NOT show news for Unspecified symbols

We are aware that the News tab is not working. Yahoo no longer provides an RSS feed for news, so we're looking for an alternative source.

Just checking ... I am getting no News Feed on the News tab (below the Chart tab). Is this working for others?
I am able to get Yahoo Finance RSS Feeds into an RSS Reader, using something along the lines of this:
* https://finance.yahoo.com/rss/headline?s=SYMBOL
To get a list of up-to-date news stories related to Apple, the RSS points directly here:
* https://finance.yahoo.com/rss/headline?s=AAPL
Does anyone know where in OT the RSS News Feed is configured.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Yahoo made some changes with their RSS feed recently that caused the News to stop working in our software. We have been able to fix it in the latest update of OmniTrader 2024.

Thanks for confirming Barry.
I'll remember that for my next upgrade, as I'm currently using OT2022.
Might be handy to have the News Feed functionality configurable for OT2025, just in case Yahoo Finance makes future RSS changes, hey.
I'm guessing there is nothing to be done, retrospectively for older versions?

Unfortunately, in this case it's difficult for us to fix OT2022. The last few times Yahoo made changes we were able to fix it at the server level which made it work for all versions. This is the first time they made a change that required a software code change.

Not to worry, I'll just keep using the RSS Reader on a separate screen ... all good. Thanks for the details.
