Awindy Member Posts: 19 Joined: 2/10/2010 Location: Racine, Wisconsin  User Profile | Hi Everyone, OP is definitely a great program although I believe it has not been updated to keep up with other developements in Nirvana, such as options trading (I should say not enough) and of course NTB charts. I began to use it regularly with the 2010 edition just to give me entry and exit signals from my strategies in order to trade options on the underlying myself and that worked fine. There are 3 specific issues I am experiencing with OP: 1. With stocks and options the 2013 version is not taking any trades in WFT in labmode which works flawlessly in the 2011 version. Therefore I don't feel very secure about running 2013 with real money. 2. There is a bug in option tradeplans that causes not just OP but anyone trying to place a trade in Specifically, AAPL, IBM, NFLX, BIDU, GOOG to name a few to immediatedly exit the position upon entering it. I noticed this first over a year ago with Visual trader when trying to place basket option trades and confirmed it in OT 2011 and discussed it with support but it has not been fixed yet. Note, the issue is with Fixed Loss stops being placed above the entry price (every time) which causes an immediate exit. 3. In OT 2013, 2012 and 2011 when using OP to apply an option tradeplan to a given strategy, everything works fine, sometimes for hours or days ( with OP executing option trades, puts and calls) until some bug in the option tradeplan in question causes an error in the tradeplan and in turn crashes all other option tradeplans in the program. Stock tradeplans are not affected. I have worked with support many times and they have verified these issues. Yesterday I was told that Nirvana is aware of 2 of these bugs but Omnivest is top priority for now. Again this is an issue with Option trading both automated and manual and with WFT using OP. | |
