I have 4 different custom template charts, all "synch 1", showing in my profiles.
If even one symbol is deleted by "remove symbols" or "cut symbols" (right click menu), then this symbol is removed OK but all 4 charts disappear for every other symbol.
This is followed by one standard template appearing for them when I click on any one of the remaining symbols.
I then have to reload the 4 templates and "synch 1" them again.
Help please!!
Cheers

I duplicated this behavior and I think for the time being, your best bet is to do the following (so your synched charts won't disappear)
1st, determine what symbol it is you want to remove from your Focus list
2nd, chart another symbol in your synched charts
3rd, Right click the symbol in your focus list you want to remove, and then remove it...making sure that you don't double click the symbol and chart it...
Now, you should still have the remaining synched charts on your monitor, and the symbol removed that you wanted removed. The only downside to this is that you will be viewing a symbol on your screen that you are not removing.

Hey Thad, thanks for such a fast response.
The procedure you suggested works perfectly.
Is this something that will now get on the "fix a bug" list.??

I have added this as a feature request! It would definitely save alot of time, instead of having to customize your layout again when removing a symbol from your focus list.

Bit tardy reopening this eh what! (21 months?)
OT still exhibits this problem in V2012.
I still fall into the trap from time to time.
Avoiding this is an additional action (should be unnecessary) which I forget.
Any chance of a fix being put on the OT fix list?
Cheers

Currently when a symbol is removed from a profile, any charts that were plotting that symbol are closed. Chart settings such as sync, scaling, or zoom are tied to the chart. When a chart is closed any of those particular settings to that chart go with it. It's not a bug, it's by design. I won't say that it won't ever change, but chances are unlikely in the near future.

So, if we want some of the charts in a tabbed layout to be locked in to an index, for instance ... shouldn't THAT be saved? Seems like the only ones that should not be saved are the ones with variable symbols.
Could you please go back to the designers about this - maybe they can explain why my presumption is faulty.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean, Jim. Can you give me an example?
