I am trying to create a symbol list for omniscan.
I have added some stocks and can see the list but I can't add it to the
starting population space on the right hand side.
Anyone else had this problem?
I am using User data with the ASX.

A list like that would need to be added to the starting population as a My Symbols list.

So please explain how I can add a My symbols list to the starting population?
Currently the only time I can add anything to starting population is to select the list I created in Custom Lists.

Create a list in your Focus List. We call that a "My Symbols" list. While in OmniScan, right-click the Custom Lists folder & select New OmniScan List & give it a name. Then click the Add button in the Starting Population section & select My Symbols. That allows you to use your Focus List's custom My Symbols list as your OmniScan population & you can add technical criteria formulas afterwards.

What Barry said.

Also note you can create as many “My Symbols” named custom lists as you want. They are “fixed” lists, and all are accessible individually in normal FL+chart mode, via the FL dropdown.

Very useful.

This has long puzzled me Jim, I'm also using ASX User Data and there is no way that I can find to add “My Symbols” named custom lists when User Data is specified. Please let me know how this is done?

It certainly used to work in OT 2008 but it hasn't been working for awhile, not sure how long tho.

Any other User Data users with positive or negative experience in this area?

Cheers

To add more My Symbols lists, you need to be in OmniScan mode and use OmniData feed, afaik. It’s been 16 years since I regularly used a different data feed, so I’m unsure of capabilities these days.

Thanks Jim, that's the only way I've been able to do it aswell, chopping and changing between UD & OS, which is extremely tedious if you have more than a handful of lists 😥
