When I try to add a symbol to my Focus List, sometimes I get this error:

But I can look up and add the symbol using the OmniData data source.

The error doesn’t happen for all symbols but what causes this for symbols which do exist in OmniData?
Thanks,
Randy

I imported a list with 87 symbols to see how this list reacted.
I ended up with 12 symbols not found 13.8% but was able to add them via Omnidata.
I also found a new issue with 19 different symbols 21.8% showing no historical data. These symbols also show in Omnidata and show a close price but no chart data. Deleting and reloading data did not fix this problem.
I'll give support a call to see what's going on with my system.

I deleted and reloaded the OmniDataPackage but that did not resolve the issue.
Scott was able to fix by removing the Symbol32 MS Access DB under the Nirvana\data directory.
Both issues are resolved now.
Thanks,
Randy

When a symbol is added to the Focus List & it is not in the symbol database, it will give that prompt - allowing you to manually add it to the database by typing in a name & clicking OK. The symbol database is not the same as the OmniData database.
Anyway, I'm glad you were able to get the issues fixed. Your symbol database was obviously outdated.
