Q: How do I get chart data for the Russells?

A:

Russell Indexes

NASDAQ is now the sole distributor of the Russell Indices. As a result, the Russell Index quotes were moved to a new data feed, which resulted in new exchange charges to continue to receive these quotes. The affected symbols include Russell 1000 ($RUI), Russell 2000 ($RUT), & Russell 3000 ($RUA).

We have considered the demand for these symbols and found them to be negligible. Therefore, as of October 1, 2010, we will no longer provide quotes for these symbols.

However, we do provide the ETF Russell symbols that you can use instead. These symbols are nearly identical in price movement, & they are also tradable.

IWB - IShares Russell 1000 Index ETF
IWM - IShares Russell 2000 Index ETF
IWV - IShares Russell 3000 Index ETF
