I am so sorry I wasn't able to bring you to a happy resolution.
As far as the different currencies go remember that the conversion rate varies from day to day and so you might be able to buy more shares one day, fewer another and maybe even lose on your exit even if the stock has gone up because your currency has gone down relative to the USD and now is worth less.
