There are two radio buttons titled "Method" and "Trade Size". To run an ATM method - you must choose "Method" and choose the ATM Method in the drop down menu To run Auto Trader w/o ATM, choose "Trade Size". Then specify the trade size that OT will use for trading. It will essentially trade the vote line w/o any of the ATM smarts. You can use the filters in the strategies to make the strategies Market State aware. I'm not sure if DSS would work in Auto Trader however (haven't tried it).
