Mark G Member  Posts: 41 Joined: 10/11/2012  User Profile | The IB servers are reset every night, causing TWS to close out, and the IB Gateway to close and restart. I wanted to observe the process, particularly with regard to OT and automated forex trading using an IBG. Called IB tech support: --The servers are shutdown between 2345 and 0045 EST. --The server reset process takes several minutes, usually <5' --But may take longer dependent on what maintenance is required. So automated trading of forex will have another 'hole' in the data to consider, on top of the ten minute Nirvana data 'hole' that occurs at about the same time (midnight-0010 EST = 11pm--1110 Nirvana CST). --Mark G. | |
